Cherry Blossoms
It seemed like this year’s cherry blossom season was especially short. The delicate white and pink petals have already been mostly replaced by green leaves in many places.

It’s been surprisingly chilly out recently. The wind has also been rather blustery, adding to the chill. Because of this, this year’s blossoms are a bit late. Tokyo and other cities have reported that their trees started blossoming at the end of March. I hope ours do so soon.
A student recommended that I visit Tsurumai Park last weekend to see the cherry trees. Tsurumai Park is a popular place to go flower viewing, so it can get pretty crowded. Since my days off are usually Sunday and Monday, I thought it migh be better to go on a weekday. It was still very […]
The Okazaki Cherry Blossom Festival started a few days ago. People from all atound Aichi (and further, I’d bet) came to oogle the somewhat famous cherry trees. Sakura season is almost over, but luck for me, I could get a decent number of photos. The majority of my cherry blossom viewing adventures were done in Okazaki and Kyoto.
It’s a good day for a lazy day.
This week is supposed to be beautiful, so I’m pretty excited. I hope it means I can go out for walks during lunch. I missed being able go outside, without freezing body parts off.
It’s been pretty chilly this week, despite it being spring. Yesterday was especially cold out. I’ll be so glad when the warm weather returns.
The cherry blossom tree, near my job, has started to bud. When I saw it, it made me so happy. This is how you know it’s really spring. Until I see these little buds, and watch the blossom, it’s not spring. Even if the calendar tries to tell me otherwise…
