Steel Birds

Around Obu train station, there are metal rails with sparrow sized metal birds perched on top. I’ve been to the station at least half a dozen times but have only noticed them this morning.

I didn’t see any info about the pieces or about the person(s) that made them. Most people around the station didn’t seem to pay them any mind as well.

However, I thought they were absolutely adorable and had to take a few pictures before heading to my appointment.

Yokohama Landmark Tower Plaza

The child in me loved this.

Since I had a little time before my bus, I stopped by downtown Yokohama.

It was terribly rainy and windy, but metal looks amazing in these conditions.

It was totally worth it!

Grey

2016-01-05 17.42.26

I’m having trouble getting back into the swing of things this year. The holidays weren’t anything particularly exciting or memorable  (save for various discontented cat noises), so I’m at a lost as to why.

Everyone around me seems so pumped for the new year. Everyone has so much more energy than I do. I know I have no reason o be this way, but all I want to do is sleep or watch YouTube. Is this a case of the January blues?

Frustration

IMG_20150624_181313

I have so much time now, but I don’t know what to do with it all. I’ve been continuing the job search, working on my art, and trying out some new things. It’s starting to get really hot (we are getting closer to August, which is New York’s hottest month) so I haven’t been feeling or sleeping so well. I’m getting frustrated and irritated way too easily.

I think I’m going to try going out more (at least as much as my health will allow) just to do something. Maybe I’ll spend more time at the library since it is cooler there than outside.
