Here’s to hoping that this year will be better than the last.
Over the weekend, I tried my hand at making one of those faerie light jars, like you see all the time on Pinterest. I bought the supplies at the ¥100 shop: a small caning jar, two strands of LED lights, and a pack of batteries.
Once home, I made a hole in the lid with a screwdriver and hammer. Then, I strung the lights through. All that was left were the batteries.
There’s something really nice about having lights up throughout the whole of winter. It really helps with battling the winter blues. I wish we kept lights up longer in the US.
Wishing you a happy and healthy 2019. May only good things come your way.
You were a strange year… Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
One night, after work, my friend and I spent some time admiring the illuminations at the station.
We also took some pictures together, messed about in front of an fortune-giving colour-changing cat, and exchanged sweets.
We went a little crazy with the pictures, but it was totally worth it.
At night, the outdoor section of the Ikebukuro Aquarium is lit up with an array of multicoloured lights.
