Even though I had to work Christmas eve and day, I could still celebrate in a small way. This is a sweet made of colored sweet bean paste from a shop in Toyohashi.
Working on Christmas wasn’t too bad this year. On Christmas Eve my coworkers and I had a lovely lunch of chicken, pizza and salad. On Christmas Day, another coworker brought in some cake for everyone to enjoy. When I lived in the States, I couldn’t imagine working on Christmas Day, but after living abroad and by myself for a few years, I really don’t mind.
Have you ever seen a tree decorated with vegetables before? I’ve seen fruit added to trees or the odd popcorn garland, but this is… interesting.
There is a Christmas Village in Nagoya this year. On the way home from hanging out with a few friends, I had a look around. It was cute and a nice little change of pace from the dreariness that is December.
It’s kinda lame…
Pretty, isn’t it? I wish my tree was even a quarter as cool as this one!
