Golden Leaves

A new shopping mall opened up next to a park near me last month. Inside are the usual stores, including a huge supermarket with a better selection than is available at the one closer to my apartment. So, on the weekends, I’ve been going there to stock up on necessities. To shave off a few minutes from my 15 minute or so journey, I’ve been cutting through the park called Noritake no mori.

Changing Leaves

The leaves have started to change as the weather has been getting cooler. I haven’t had a chance to go view the fall colors, but there is one tree in my neighborhood in particular that caught my eye on the way home. It stands in feontbof the local community center and is illustrated by a couple of lights. I stopped to take a few shots laat night.

Warning: Do Not Eat

These berries are growing almost everywhere these days. I looked them up online and found out that they’re toxic. But the look so delicious…

Changing Leaves at Night

Having a little bit of time last weekend, I decided to do some traveling. I visited a famous garden in Mie. It was pretty packed, but I could still get a few good pictures.

Takayama

kimg1390

Went traveling with some coworkers. We took an early morning bus to Takayama and spent the day hiking, eating, and looking in old shops.

Takayama is famous for its old towns and fall foliage. If you have the chance to go, I strongly recommend that you go.

Happy Thanksgiving

2015-11-20 13.53.26.jpg

For those of us in the US, it’s that time of year again: Thanksgiving. It’s the day to eat ourselves sick, watch some guys toss around a ball, and make nice with family members you see like twice a year. It’s one of the best days of the year.

This year, mama’s gone away with friends, so I’m planning to play chef at brother’s. Instead of boring, dry turkey, we will have pork taco. Instead of football, we’ll watch Doctor Who and play video games. Instead of spending time with Aunt Edna, we’ll be with friends.

I hope everyone else has a god holiday as well.
