Feeling a Bit more Positive

So, I recently started a new work assignment late last week. It’s a bit further away from my home, but the atmosphere amongst my colleagues is a thousand times better than my last assignment. The previous assignment had me at a certain office for four to five days a week and I found it difficult to stay positive. However the general tone at this new one is a lot lighter and everyone gets along well it seems. During lunch we had a very entertaining and engaging conversation about rock music. Several of us have been inspired to learn a second language because of it. I hope that this trend will continue for the next few months that I will be spending there.

Gardening Sale

Friday was a national holiday celebrating the Spring Equinox. Because of that I decided to do a bit of work in my garden. I was able to get some new plants for around ¥80 to ¥100 each, so I bought 12. I spent a couple of hours planting them.

Greener Grass

“Keep on keeping on,” seems to be the general mindset these days. Keep well, everyone.

An Update

So, it’s been a very long time since the last update. In that time a lot has happened here in Japan, some of which I am sure you have heard about or seen on the news. Nagoya is bracing in the midst of the Coronavirus and many stores have run out of things like masks, hand sanitizer, and various paper products. The government, as well as many businesses and groups, have put strong measures into effect to try to limit people’s exposure to the virus.

So far, me and mine have been fortunate to have remained healthy. However due to some of the measures in place, such as a ban on travel and congregating in large groups, there may be a lack of posts in the near future. I will try to keep you all updated.

I hope you all stay well.
