The View from atop Inuyama Castle

A few weekends ago, I went to a festival in Inuyama with some friends from work. During that time, we also visited Inuyama’s famous castle. The castle features a balcony at its top, from which you can enjoy an amazing view of the city below.

Cherry Blossoms

It seemed like this year’s cherry blossom season was especially short. The delicate white and pink petals have already been mostly replaced by green leaves in many places.

At Night

Near my current assignment, there’s a small park that I like to visit on my way home from work. It’s very peaceful, and since Gifu is closer to home than Toyohashi was, I’m not worried about getting home super late.

First Week– Done!

Finished my first week of working in Gifu Prefecture. Tomorrow I have some plans to go to a cherry blossom festival with some coworkers. Then, Monday, I’ll meet some friends to celebrate the Buddha’s birthday. Somewhere in there I need to remember to do my laundry…

Gifu Cheerful Cherry Blossoms

It’s been surprisingly chilly out recently. The wind has also been rather blustery, adding to the chill. Because of this, this year’s blossoms are a bit late. Tokyo and other cities have reported that their trees started blossoming at the end of March. I hope ours do so soon.

April Changes

So, April is finally here. With it comes an array of changes. One of which relates to my job. I’ve been reassigned to Gifu prefecture after 6 long months of working in Toyohashi City.
