The Journey to Enoshima

While in Yokohama, I visited Enoshima Island. There, I visited the park, a tower, a shrine, and some caves.

To get there from Yokohama station, you can take the JR train to Fujisawa, and then another train/tram to the island itself. There’s also a bus you can take. I took the tram there and the bus back.

Also, if you take the tram, there is a long bridge you have to cross to get onto the island.

It reminded me a bit of Spirited Away.

My first stop was a shirine.

After that, I went wandering. It was a windy, rainy day and my umbrella kept blowing inside out while I walked. So, I decided to ditch it and pull up my hood.

There are many stairs to climb to get to the top of the island. But there is also an escalator you can pay to ride. They also sell combination tickets, so I could ride all three escalators and visit the Sea Candle for ¥700.

I walked on the way down.
