According to the Hudson River Museum’s website, this dollhouse was gifted to the museum after the creator– Mark O’Banks– death in 2006. It also is comprised of 900 objects and 24 rooms. It is incredibly detailed and really shows the family during their everyday lives.
The interior with its many rooms.
The nursery with wet-nurse and baby. Inside is another dollhouse. Meta.
The conservatory, I think?
The study, with all its splendor. Every study needs a suit of armor. It just does.
Lastly, the music room. I wonder what these two are practicing. For some reason, my mind keeps thinking about that running gag in the movie Gigi (Audry Hepburn) with the opera singing mother who kept making noise at all the worst times.
