How COOL is this?!

Bother and I recently went to the Hudson River Museum and one of the exhibits was this, Red Grooms‘ Bookstore.  It’s a huge piece that people can actually go inside of and browse, as if it were a real bookshop. The ‘patrons’ are made of vinyl and stand a bit under 5 feet tall.  Having been designed and made during the 70s, styles can be easily dated, but because of the whimsy feel of the piece, it isn’t distracting. I suggest if you have time and are in the area, to check it out as it is really cool.

The books for sale. Sadly I couldn’t find anything that was appealing to me…
